Welcome to Mobile’s Next Big Thing blog. 2D barcodes have the potential to revolutionize mobile marketing and advertising. The move to mobile is unstoppable — mobile devices are becoming more powerful, more central to people’s lives. The device you carry with you everyday will eventually be as influential as the television was in earlier decades. Mobile barcodes can unlock a massive consumer audience, and bring truly personalized offers to millions of people.

The purpose of this blog is to discuss this move to mobile, and to lay out the pros and cons of different technologies that are changing how marketing and advertising is delivered to the personal device. Mobile’s Next Big Thing is edited by Lisa Tyler and Meredith Bagnulo.

Lisa serves as Principal Marketing Specialist for Mobile Services at Neustar. Neustar (NYSE: NSR) provides market-leading and clearinghouse services that enable trusted communication across networks, applications, and enterprises around the world. Before joining Neustar, Lisa held multiple senior digital marketing positions at Gannett and America Online (AOL).
